Just a quick Hello! & to show you a few of my Pastels

Postby Krispit on Fri Oct 30, 2009 5:48 pm

Hello Collin and fellow members :-)
I decided to take up art using Pastels about 3 years ago after seeing Colins super work :D
When I first started, I purchased a few of Colins super workshop packs plus one or two of his DVD's These really helped me get started and I have never looked back!
I mainly do pet portraits and Wildlife Art still using Pastel Pencils with some soft pastels here & there, but I now work on Velour Paper & Pastelmat.
Last year I set up my own website to advertise my work, which I thoroughly enjoyed doing.

Here are a few examples of my work.

Lioness - one from Colins workshop packs. Done with Faber Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils on PASTELMAT.

Sheltie, One of my favourite breeds. Pastel Pencils and Soft pastels on VELOUR

Hi Christine
Welcome to the forum and thank you for posting your lovely pictures. They really are a delight to view and I can see why you are so entusiastic on the pastel medium. It is very rewarding for me to see people like yourself doing so well in the knowledge that I may have been instrumental in planting the seed.
Kind regards Colin.
